Buendia Home / Bahay
Buendia is our home. Never hesitate to knock at our door if we can be of any assistance.

In 1521, Magellan set anchors upon arriving in Cebu with the 3 galleons Trinidad, Victoria and Concepcion. 2 vessels, San Antonio and Santiago, were already lost on the 2 year arduous sail from Spain through the Magellan straits, over the Pacific to the Philippines. 300 years should it last the Spanish colonialism. The Spaniards brought not only the holy cross but also Castellano to the original Filipinos. That’s why Tagalog (an Austronesian language and ‘lingua franca’ among the more than 130 other languages spoken throughout the archipelago) contains many Spanish words. Buendia (good day) is such a legacy. A fine name for our family’s home.
There is even a Barangay ‘Magallanes’ in Manila. A near stop to the airport coming from Batangas.
